On June 1st, an expedition team will depart from the US bound for Peru to take part in our Machu Picchu Leadership Expedition. For 12 days, this international team will explore the Inca Trail, perform community service projects, and immerse themselves in the culture of Peru. At the same time, this group will be exploring their own lives in an effort to learn more about what is important to them, or put another way, what their individual ethos will be going forward after the journey.

The team has been preparing both physically and mentally for the past several months. It is a diverse team. There are men and women who have undertaken previous expeditions to Africa with us. There are folks with very different and international backgrounds. There are people in the process of transforming their lives and others just seeking their next adventure.

To live their ethos, our team is working on being able to live their lives in moments of peak performance. The ability to channel this performance is something we call “Finding Your Flow”. Using a comprehensive curriculum designed by one of our trip leaders, Dr. Bruce Jackson, the team has been studying background material that will lead to “on the mountain” discussions regarding beliefs, principles, attitudes, perspectives, virtues, qualities, rules, and standards. These discussions will allow the participants to discover their own “philosophy of engagement” and commit to a single act of change to start living their ethos.

For us, the mountains are a metaphor for life. There is beauty and danger. Challenges and rewards. Barriers that can either be harnessed or can block your ability to move forward. The mountains never fail to inspire, challenge, and reward you for your efforts. We look forward to our time together. We will work hard- mentally and physically. Above all, we are going to have a lot of fun creating lifelong memories. And we’ll share it all with you so you can enjoy the journey as well.

We are offering exciting three day “mini” versions of this expedition in Colorado throughout the summer and fall. Have you been thinking you want to do more with your own life? Join us!
