Challenged Athletes Foundation Million Dollar Challenge, La Jolla CA

October 21, 2011 (La Jolla, CA) – The Challenged Athletes Foundation Million Dollar Challenge (MDC) reached it’s conclusion in La Jolla, CA on Friday October 21st, 2011.  The goal of the MDC is to raise $1M for the Foundation’s efforts and as indicated in their website “MDC has earned a reputation as one of the premier cycling events in the country where individuals can use their passion for cycling to make a difference in the lives of others. Thanks to our event participants, sponsors, donors, and volunteers, CAF is able to enable physically challenged athletes to find success in sports — and in life. MDC riders not only change gears, but change lives along the roads of California, and around the world.”

The ride itself is an amazing, six day, 620 mile ride from San Francisco, CA to San Diego, CA.  Summit of Everest Group, its friends and partners including Sanity Solutions Corp contributed sponsorship to two riders, Megan Fante and Kelley Fox, both of whom additionally raised significantly more funds and completed the entire ride themselves.

It was an amazing experience as we welcomed them home.
